Q – How do we get council approved building permit?
This is a commonly asked question. You are no longer required to seek approval from council for your proposed building or structure. We at Buildon Building Certifications can assess your documentation, provide professional guidance based on years of experience and up to date training by our Certifier, approve the application and lodge with your local council, minimising the stress for you.
Q - How much does a building permit cost?
Well, that depends on the application and what you are seeking to approve. Once our trained staff have an indication of what you seek, we can provide you with a detail quotation including explanation of the planning involved.
Q - What do I need to provide at the commencement of seeking a quote?
A site plan with measurement of the intended structures, this will give us an indication if any additional planning approval is required such a Boundary Relaxation or Amenities and Aesthetics. Photos of the site and any drawings that you may have would be beneficial.
 
Q - When does an inspection take place?
This depends on what you are seeking. If you are looking for advise on an existing structure or prospective build, we can attend a site inspection or stage inspection, such as slab or final, with in 48hours, depending on location.
Q - What if I need a plumbing or drainage permit do I need to go to council for the permit?
The plumbing and drainage permit is separate to a building permit. We can submit the plumbing & drainage application however you would be required to pay the fee once approval from council has been received.
Q - How long does it take to receive a building permit?
This depends on the application, for a standard application with no additional planning approvals a permit can take up to 7 days. Providing relevant plans and documentation received, our Engagement Agreement signed, and fees received.
